Ya ya, no flash :(
It's the one thing I want most right now for the iPhone. |
I find I have no need for it. The phone does everything I can ask for a phone to do. Its come a long way in the last year and a bit. Besides Beatport (which has its own app now anyway) I find the only things I would need flash for is all the sites with movies that normally would divert you to a mobile pay version of the site I guess. ie porn :) |

Plus it's such a CPU, MEM and BATT hog |

HTML 5 is awesome - sincerely, it's the future of mobile computing, and will leave everything in the dust.
...in 3-5 years from now when it's running on hardware that can actually keep up. The JS Canvas element is several orders of magnitude slower than Flash; even on a modern PC that's a lot more powerful than the iPhone or iPad any other mobile device, it's sluggish compared to Flash.
Not every app needs Flash, obviously; but for the ones that do, HTML5 is a pathetic substitute right now. In a few years, it'll be a different story.

Then they haven't deployed the Fido ver yet. Just like the "My Account" app, Rogers came first. |

I'm trying to upgrade my buddies jailbroken 3G phone from 3.0.1 to 3.2.1
I tried using RedSn0w but no luck, any suggestions? |

3.1.2 You mean?
Redsnow will work, just find a clean OEM IPSW of 3.1.2 and patch it with the same IPSW. You can also try Spirit on that FW too.
Here's a clean ver from Apple's server
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite...11_Restore.ipsw
Remember, always restore it as a new user. It will wipe out and freshly flash + load a totally new unit w/o any traces of the previous FW. |
