But the flip has a newer OS, related to the Bold's one.
If you get the pearl, make sure you get one of the newer ones with the 3.5 mm headphone jack |
Ya, I like flip phones, but the flip they have is kinda ugly. I was thinking the Pearl 8120 b/c of the Wi-Fi capabilities. I don't really need the GPS on the 8130. |

You should get GPS, it's a must! Install Garmin on that unit. |

I wouldn't use it. I already have a Garmin. I would find the Wi-Fi much more useful.
Unless the GPS one comes with Wi-Fi too....I'd probably get the other one. |

I don't know BB that well, I would think the Pearls would have a model that has wifi & gps together.
If they do, get it & ditch the Garmin stand alone system.
Never understood why ppl have stand alones. You gotta taken out of the car & once it's in your pockets you can't do anything with. There bulky & big too. If you leave it in the car it might be stolen & even when you take them out, your windshield mount shows you have a stand alone unit, they'll break it into your car hoping is in the glove box or somewhere. Finally, even if you take the windshield mount off, there are signs you have it. Example, the "rings" on your windshield.
Nice thing though, if you spend more you got a nice big wide screen. |

I've been looking for it too, I like to have TomTom & Garmin for all platforms ... PalmOS, WM, Symbian & BlackBerry. Just incase for future devices.
WAKE UP APPLE, GET TOMTOM ON BOARD BITCH! |

i think the new blackberry 8900 would be perfect for you... no 3g but wifi and a 3.2 mp camera!

and it supports the new 3.5g rogers network! The first / fastest of its kind in NA! |

If it doesnt suport 3g for data how can it support the 3.5g network? Is that solely for voice? |

Ya, I was thinkin about that. I really hate the full keyboard though, so I'm hesitant. I really want the Samsung Gravity b/c I like it's layout. I have the option of the full keyboard for emails, but it doesn't always have to be big like that. Stupid Rogers doesn't offer it though. |
