Try 3G to 3G, you'll see I'm not talking out of my ass lol
It's the pinging problem over 3G, lots of packets and latency delays. Trying a speedtest on Wifi and 3G and notice the ping results.
Wifi = 50 - 70ms
3G = 120 - 250+ ms
That's the biggest problem with 3G connections @ current times; just like videos game, you need really good ms (ping) to play a lag free game. |

PwnageTool To Jailbreak All Future Firmwares on A4 iDevices

MuscleNerd, a developer from the Dev-Team, has hinted at the possibility of PwnageTool being able to provide untethered jailbroken firmware creation for ALL future firmware updates on devices that use the A4 chip (iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad).
"Think we've figured out a way to extend PwnageTool+limera1n+ @comex hacks to untethered JBs for all future A4 firmwares " says MuscleNerd via twitter. The announcement gives a bit more confidence to jailbreakers who are afraid of being left out when future updates come, like iOS 4.2 for example. This one being a major update for the iPad users, and losing their jailbreaks could be disappointing if there was no way to jailbreak.
While Limera1n and Greenpois0n are also considered "exploits for life" for the A4, it is not likely that they would be untethered tools in the future, once Apple patches the exiting tools currently used. PwnageTool on the otherhand, would be able to provide these untethered jailbroken firmwares even after Apple patches the current holes that currently provide us an untethered jb. This once again, is what iPad and iPhone 4 users want to hear, as this means you'll be able to jailbreak, untethered, for "life".
If this is the case, we may see PwnageTool once again being the main tool for Jailbreaking your iDevices, as we all know, a tethered JB is no fun at all.
Tomorrow will be the official release, so keep your eyes peeled for Sunday Funday!
Possible $10 Billion Foxconn Plant to Become New "iPod City"

According to a new report from Reuters, Foxconn - the alleged Chinese-based "sweatshop" that has seen its fair share of unfavorable headlines in the past year - is reportedly working on a new multi-billion dollar facility that could very well become the new "iPod City" - a title presently reserved for the company's elaborate factory in Shenzhen.
Based on the information provided in the Reuters report, the new plant would likely be constructed in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan province, "although sources were unable to give a timeframe for the project." But as Apple continues to mass produce iDevices by the millions, Foxconn will likely break ground and be open for business sooner rather than later.
Since Foxconn became recognized as a major partner for Apple in mass producing the Cupertino tech giant's various products, a great deal of media attention has befallen the rash of Foxconn employee suicides and the alleged low-paying borderline-slave-labor that supposedly takes place in these Chinese-based facilities. Apple, however, maintains that the company is vigilant in guarding against sweatshop practices. |

3G to Wifi = Perfect
3G to 3G = 1 sec delays with audio and 0.5 secs of Video
Data = Uses the same amount as streaming Youtube. (Confirmed by a little bird over @ Rogers Data Testing Centre)

I duno man, seems like its hardly horrible and unusable IMO. Tango seems like its more like 3-5 seconds |

It gets annoying after awhile, lots of pausing + stopping and both ppl are talking over each other, because of the delays. The testing I've done was a while back; that's with the networks pushing at max speeds too, with present time it's even worse w/ the network congesting we are having in some areas. It could be 3-5 seconds delays like other apps, running over 3G.
FaceTime and Voip calls has to be lag free & realtime to be enjoyable. I refuse to use Skype over 3G due to packet and latency delays.
DT CORE - Present Time (considered good, sometimes it's 0.00 & 2.56)

Northern Scarborough - Present Time

Honestly, we won't be seeing anytime of these voip calls 100% smooth over cellular data until 4G LTE in 3 years. Unless the carriers ask Apple and the others to tone down the quality.
HTC EVO has to same problem in the state with 3G, it's only good over their so called 4G <--- LOL Wimax networks. |

AppStore Hits - 300,000

VentureBeat is reporting that Apple’s iOS application store crossed the 300,000 app threshold in the last 24-hours. The publication cites data from analytics firm Mobclix and notes that Apple added over 1,000 applications in the last few days to achieve the goal. Apple certainly has had plenty of momentum over the last few days. This coming Monday, the company is set to announce quarterly earnings and host a media event where they will presumably release details about their next generation desktop operating system, Mac OS X 10.7; Apple’s stock price is currently at an all-time high of $314.74 per share. Like Apple or not, they are more or less printing money in Cupertino these days.
TinyUmbrella Gets Big Update

Jailbreak utility TinyUmbrella got a big update today. Version 4.1.9 is now available for Mac OS X, Linux and Windows. TinyUmbrella is a staple tool in the Jailbreak community. With the ability to save SHSH blobs, TinyUmbrella allows jailbreakers the ability to downgrade to a previous iOS version if necessary. This can be useful when users want to jailbreak their iOS devices, but have upgraded their software to an unsupported version. Users must save their SHSH blobs before upgrading to the latest iOS version, if they want to be able to downgrade later.
Currently, users looking to unlock their iPhones cannot use TinyUmbrella to do this. According to the TinyUmbrella blog:
“DO NOT USE TINYUMBRELLA in an attempt to save your baseband. It will not work. The baseband protection is for iPhone 4 *ONLY*.”
TinyUmbrella now has a totally redesigned interface for all operating systems and new application artwork by iOPK of Dev Team. As a result, the software now has a much cleaner look and feel. Other new features include:
Spinny Icon code (thanks to technomage)
Quaqua look and feel (sorry mac only due to license restrictions)
Now all devices detected by TinyUmbrella are saved for future use!
You can remove them as well (Right click -> delete from history)
You can save SHSH with known devices as well (No more requirement for the device to be connected)
If you connect a device in recovery mode you can still kick it out of recovery (Right click -> Kick out of recovery)
Save SHSH now saves ALL SHSHs available at Cydia with one button press!
Change SHSH save directory
Proxies (Web and Socks) for those that need them!
Better port 80 detection.
TinyUmbrella continues to be one of the best tools available for the jailbreak community. With this update, TinyUmbrella continues to refine the processes of saving useful iPhone SHSH data. People wanting to upgrade to the latest and greatest iOS can do so without fear of not being able to go back, if necessary. Without this ability to downgrade, jailbreaking an iPhone would be a much more hectic endeavor. TinyUmbrella gives people the confidence to jailbreak their iPhone knowing they will be able to turn back the clock if they have to. Wouldn’t it be great if everything were so easy. |

Facetime to have multi-chat future?

It would appear likely, not only because everyone else (including iChat) allows multiple video chat but also because there is a kext string in the FaceTime code which seems to indicate it is on the way:
I predicted this would be coming in iOS5 back in July, but maybe it's gonna be sooner? For sure this ain't gonna be on 3G LOL

This makes me :D
I bought a TON of stock at like 80 bucks around a year a half ago. Drained out my bank account my savings account and even got a new credit card (1 yr no interest, already paid off) just to buy more shares with lol
Now I am wondering if the bubble is going to explode or get bigger... |
