IP4 Launch in the US, pretty racist I must say ...

Now that's how it's done proper, thanks Apple.
"That’s incredibly convenient. Many other app phones have it — AT&T’s iPhone gets it on Feb. 13 — but Apple’s execution is especially nice. For example, the hot spot shuts itself off 90 seconds after the last laptop disconnects. That’s hugely important, because these personal hot spot features are merciless battery drains.
Feb 13th is a Sunday so that seems like a weird date but very strange that Pogue popped that in there, so specifically.
A few minutes later that was changed to “Soon”." |

I would recommend everyone (and I do mean everyone) stick with Redsn0w for Jailbreaking, if anything for the stability. Only a few hours old and Greenpois0n has mad issues. |

My current IP4 has been jailbroken with greenpois0n and there have been no problems at all with 4.1 ZERO, NADA, ZILCH.
Dev team has asked chronic if they can use their exploit in pwnage tool. |

When I tested Limerain & Greenpoison many months ago in my IP4, both had there flaws & sketchy'ness and Greenpoison had the most problems.
I had my IP4 froozen, super choppy transitions and crashes w/ Greenpoison.
Time after time after time ... I've stated & proven to everyone with my testing, always stick to the DevTeam.
Chronic Dev Team are a great bunch of guys, they finds exploits faster and better then almost everyone out there, but their jailbreaking software tend to have issues. |

Is there a point in JB 4.2.1 if 4.3 is coming out next week(is it coming next week)? |

That's what I've been telling you guys for months now, jailbreaking has become such hard task for these guys and that new internal baseband checker made things 10000x worst. All the work for you to jailbreak, hold back on iOS vers and this & that, is it worth it for a few minor mods? To me it's not, but ppl who love to mess around with winterboard do find it's worth it. Both reasons are totally valid, we are in 4th gen of Apple's OS for the iPhone. If things were still like FW 2.0-3.0, you gotta jailbreak the thing to lift those limitations.
(Speaking of iOS4.3, Apple patched up the kernel exploit and everyone is back to the drawing boards. iOS 4.3 GM will most likely be here mon or tues @ 1:00pm. Only, if the rumors of the official build are true, the public ver will most likely be here on the 13th or 14th.)
Apple was indeed very brilliant in announcing when they were releasing upcoming iOS vers in such early stages of the IP4. This made all those teams hold back and be very caution of releasing their software.
"The reason for the new movement is that Apple has now closed the loophole hackers have been using up until iOS 4.3. Now there’s obviously no point in waiting for the new update to be released it’s been decided that GreenPois0n will go ahead as-is, with a new attempt at 4.3 to be made later. iPhone hacker Pod2g has also confirmed this on Twitter:"
Pod2g - "The good point is that because of this (and the fact that Apple fixed the kernel exploit in 4.3), we’re all working back on releasing gp."
If this pattern continues, the cat and mouse game is pretty much over and I have a feeling Apple will be annoucing future iOS vers way ahead of time once again.
Losing SHAtter really killed the jailbreaking community this year. This so called Jersey Shore drama you called it, affected you and everyone else who loved to jailbreak. That's why I've been stressing on supporting the team that supports the community the most.
Hey like always, most of you guys don't listen to me nor take my advices seriously ... until hits the fan. |

I guess Ill jailbreak 4.2.1 when its ready for windows. To be honest the only real feature i want is find my iphone. All other ones I could really care less about. I dont use air play and the mobile wifi I have already.
Mods like SBSettings, the new VoiceActivator is amazing, lockdown pro, simple background, barrel, and lock info are a few of the reasons i jailbreak. With out those the iphone isnt as good (at least to me) |

Suit yourself lol
There's way more functions coming in iOS 4.3 other then mobile hotstop. Remember, OEM will always destroy 3rd party, especially when Apple tackles the problem.
Now if you're about to state "How about MyWi OnDemand?" for that to work, BT must be turned on 24/7 on both devices, that's gonna be batt drainer and especially its two devices you gotta charge. If you're gonna use data (on the road) that much on a device #2 like an iPad, you're better off getting the 3G ver and share your data package the legit way. |

Doesn't this incur extra charges from the cellular provider? |

Indeed it does, $20/ month :(
But there are ways around it which i won't be talking about, since it's illegal. |
