Is anyone finding that adding and customizing themes slows down the snappyness of the device? Seems like things take longer to open when I have themes running. |
That depends on the theme and if there is animations. I found that if I had an animated wallpaper my battery would die quite fast. |

I made a animated wallpaper for winterboard a few months back. Its based on the DJM 800...if you like it search for "DJM LOCK" in Cydia

Couldn't sleep, needed something to do so I changed my phone around a bit, got sick of having pages full of apps so I tried Categories, now I only have one screen for my lockinfo and one for apps/categories.

Suave Theme
Shrink to make the icons a bit smaller
Infinidock for the scrolling icons on the dock
FontSwap to change fonts
In case anyone was wondering... |

It looks as though you're using Calibri for your font? Looks nice, but I'd highly recommend getting rid of FontSwap and patching the Helvetica / HelveticaBold fonts yourself in the fonts folder (/system/library/fonts/cache/). Just rename the two existing fonts to Helvetica.ttf.backup or whatever and swap the Calibri font in. FontSwap always seemed to be the culprit behind absolutely ridiculous slowdown.
Also - It looks like the font you're using is broken, the font metrics look totally skewed. It's not your fault, people just don't know how to convert them correctly so that one in particular is all over the ing Internet and there's one (possibly two) maximum that have it correctly ported for use on 3.x FW. Because it's a paid font I can't *legally* post it, but if you want it just PM me and I'll hook you up |

I didn't know you could just swap out system fonts like that. I didn't notice a slowdown yet with FontSwap though. The phone actually got way faster after I organized all those apps into categories.
I forgot the name of the font that I set it to but it's not Calibri. What do you mean by font metrics? I'm not a graphics guy I just go by what looks alright to me. Thanks for the help :) |

Hey Anton :)
Can you do a quick tutorial or point me to one on how you got your lockscreen looking like that, currently I am using SmartScreen but I'm liking your setup a lot better. |

Hi.. I'm just using LockInfo with some standard plugins (Lock Weather, Calendar and Appigo Todo) |
