Enjoy waiting for the app. Knowing Apple they like taking their time approving Google apps.

I don't need one. I can contribute to a proper Mac thread. I just wont contribute to an iPhone-only thread.
I like Apple and I have many products from them, I just dislike their iOS.
- Macintosh Classic (sucks that I don't have it anymore)
- iMac G5
- iMac 27"
- Macbook (should be the pro model, but got it a few months before they changed the name)
- iPod Touch (1st gen)
- iPod Mini (1st gen)
- iPod Nano 2x (1st gen)
- iPod Nano (current gen)
- .Mac / Mobile Me (been paying for it for 5 years)
Plus more mac products on the way.
So I have a right to dislike the iPhone.

No wall. Hangouts (multiple video chats at once). Its a more basic and clean cut version of social networking and no need for games to waste time on.

Well thus is an iPhone and iOS thread so why don't you go and start a proper Mac thread...
And you don't have to own a Mac to dislike iOS and iPhones. It's the constant trolling that's annoying...

See???
Meaningful contribution...
So the gist of it is still the same as Facebook right??
Just without the extras? I wonder how long that will last...

Enjoy waiting for the app. Knowing Apple they like taking their time approving Google apps.
Let's hope Apple does take their time examining the Google+ app. I hope they look, digg & inspect every type of file within that app and send Google back to the drawing boards (if buggy) before allowing it in the AppStore. Plus it's only in Beta form, there's only a handful of ppl on it right now. It would be a diff story if Google+ was public and the app was still in the approval stages.
Sorry to say, the Google App on the iPhone suddenly became horrific with the 0.8.1.6252 update. They added too much stuff; they also did not flush the memory upon exiting the app. You can clearly see the exiting animation become all choppy, stuttery and struggling to be closed. With the new update in 0.8.2.6553; Google had claimed they fixed the performance, but using it for 3-5 searches, the dreadful performance came back to hunt us again.
This maybe acceptable in the Android world, but sorry to tell you this doesn't cut it on iOS at all. Indeed, I've fully tested many Android phones running on many manufacture's UI and skins in the past. Even custom ROMs with stripped down carrier bloated files do not give the same silky, smooth and extra buttery performance as iOS.
Google has to work on their skins and put more effort, everything they produce look like something from the colouring books of Dora the Explorer. Their UI also need to be simplified and re-designed. Digging into menus of menus to find one function is not the way to go.
Take a look at the Speedtest App.
2008: VERSION 1.5.1
The app looked great and every animation super slick.
2010: VERSION 2.0.3
Totally revamped, it looks and feels like something straight out of Tron. (Ironicly, the whole story of the Speedtest app felt like the old and new Tron movies.)
Prometheus Xex
Just discovered animated backgrounds via Cydia... pretty funky. :P

Stash A Joint In Your iPhone Case With The iHit Update: Kicked Off Kickstarter!
Do you not have room in your pocket for both an iPhone and an incriminating joint? Boy, is this the Kickstarter project for you.
Called the iHit, the project leaders claim that their iPhone case’s cylindrical side compartment is for carrying “various small goodies with you, such as vitamins and mints.”
In their actual product images, though, there’s scarce a mint to be seen. Rather, the cylinder compartment is shown holding a single cigarette. Since I don’t know all that many smokers who only buy and carry one cigarette at a time with them, chances are, given the product name, that’s meant to be a marijuana cigarette… or a magic jay bone, in the parlance of our times.
Want one? $20 bucks pledge will get you one. Willing to pay $5 more? Get a hash pipe with it, gratis.
Update: Woops! The iHit project page has been pulled! Read more about it over here on Techcrunch
Update 2: Hey! The guys at iHit wrote us about being kicked off of Kickstarter. Here’s what they had to say:
This is Joshea and Edward, the creators of the iHit. We REALLY appreciate your article and the exposure that it has given us. In case you don’t know, Kickstarter suspended our fundraising a day after launching. It is still unclear as to why we were suspended, but we think it has to do with falling outside of Amazon’s restrictions on selling anything related to drug paraphernalia. We wrote to them explaining that we would make the necessary changes to our project in order to fall within the scope of the guidelines, but they have not replied and just a little while ago they removed our project profile.
Would it be possible to redirect the link on the article to our website www.theihit.com since the kickstarter page no longer exists. I know it’s a shot in the dark, but S would really appreciate your help in this matter
Consider it done!
Job listing hints at possible August 16th iPhone launch (Just for Kurfew)
A new report from Cnet.co.uk seems to imply that Apple could launch a new iPhone on August 16th. Their source? A job posting for temporary workers who would work the last two weeks in August.
The job listing, posted by Gekko Ltd., says Apple is looking for a “full-time iPhone Sales Staff for an exciting project to work 5 days a week (Tuesday-Saturday) for the period 16th August – 29th October within key retail stores”. Oddly enough, Apple didn’t post the listing on their own, rather hiring out Gekko Ltd. to find their new Apple Store talent. Gekko appears to have worked with Apple before:
The awards page on Gekko’s website indicates that it has worked with Apple in the past on shops within shops — the specific Apple-branded sections within larger outlets. We’d wager that Gekko is hiring to fill these sections, as one of the responsibilities of the advertised role is to “ensure the Apple area within the store is effectively merchandised”.
Rumors pointing to a September or early October launch for the new iPhone have been prevalent so far with Apple’s traditional early September music announcement, but we’re happy to line up early. Full listing below:
Judge denies Apple’s request for expedited patent trial with Samsung
A federal judge on Tuesday denied Apple’s request for an expedited trial in the company’s patent case against Samsung, FOSS Patents reports. “The Court agrees [with Samsung] that Apple has not established substantial harm or prejudice justifying a shortened briefing and hearing schedule for its Motion to Expedite,” Judge Lucy Koh of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said. Judge Koh also pointed out that Apple “had been aware of its infringement claims for at least a year and engaged in negotiations with Samsung during that time,” so the company has had more than enough time to consider possible legal courses of action. Apple recently filed requests with both a U.S. district court and with the International Trade Commission seeking a preliminary injunction to block the import and sale of several of Samsung’s mobile devices. Apple calls the devices, which include Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the DROID Charge, “copycat” products that infringe on Apple patents and mimic Apple designs.
