99% of Android handsets vulnerable to account credential theft
A report filed by UK publication The Register details a scary weakness in most Android handsets currently being sold. The aforementioned vulnerability would allow attackers to collect and use digital tokens stored on a handset after a user authenticates to a password protected service. “The weakness stems from the improper implementation of an authentication protocol known as ClientLogin in Android versions 2.3.3 and earlier,” reads the report, quoting research from the University of Ulm. “After a user submits valid credentials for Google Calendar, Twitter, Facebook, or several other accounts, the programming interface retrieves an authentication token that is sent in cleartext. Because the authToken can be used for up to 14 days in any subsequent requests on the service, attackers can exploit them to gain unauthorized access to accounts.” Google has issued a patch for the ClientLogin protocol with Android 2.3.4 and Android 3.0, but, as The Register points out, only 1% of Android devices are currently running the updated code.

'Infinity Blade' Multiplayer Update Going Live This Thursday
Grab your whet stone app and find a virtual squire — you’ll need them, no doubt, to best the hordes of Infinity Blade [$5.99] slaves waiting for this bit of news. On this Thursday, May 19, the oft-promised competitive multiplayer update to Infinity Blade goes live alongside some new, though traditional content additions all for the generous price of $0.
The competitive online component has been dubbed “Infinity Blade: Arena,” but aside from its monster-versus-dude twist, point, usage of Game Center, and its titling, we still know almost next to nothing about it.
No worries if you can find the time to spare this afternoon, though. Game creator Chair Entertainment will be doing a special Facebook Q&A session this afternoon at 4:30 EST to answer these lingering pre-launch questions.
Back to those other content additions I mentioned: in addition to “Arena,” this content update will see the release of “two dozen” new rings, swords, shields, and helmets, as well as Facebook integration, and new achievements. Also, Chair will be dropping in a new Boss Rush mode called “Survivor Mode,” that’ll have you fighting against Titan after Titan in an attempt to get a high score. Oh, and holiday helms! Everyone loves those.
That’s one hell of a free content drop for any kind of game, right? I can't wait to hack you dudes up this Thursday.

You must learn and know the flaws of others platforms to understand their delusional vision of supremacy.
Reason why I've posting a lot of Android negativity lately, one of our TOTAs asked me for some arsenal for his debate about Android vs iPhone with his fellow coworker and the dude had no idea whatsoever. In general, Android users love to pick on iPhones users all the time and sadly, majority of our users can't even navigate through the world's easiest OS nor can they work a microwave properly.
You truly have to understand what's going on, what's the next step every manufacture will be implementing and what direction things will be heading.
I once use to be ignorant / foolish with this hobby and it bit me in the ass really hard. It was indeed the hardest lesson I've had learned.
Remember this conference call? When I first heard this, it was hard to believe and listening it again today ... everything he said came true this year about Android.

Well are you posting all of the iPhones short comings in the Android thread??
You can't tell me that we don't have a bit of a superiority complex ourselves...

I don't need to spoon feed everyone, especially the others who talk smack about us for almost 3 years.
Plus they all read this thread quite often, trying troll us.
We do have our problems, most of the time they're blown out of proportion.

Infinite Blade Multiplayer over 3G is huge battery killer.
Playing this online with noobs that's randomly rub their fingers across the screen ... they will win.

Can you use a straight up unlocked iPhone 4 with a microsim overseas? Do a lot of carriers in Europe for example support that?? Like Vodaphone? (Cytamobile specifically)
I tried looking for this thread and then searching within the thread before through search function but to no avail. Bah.

Of course, even if the carrier doesn't have any microsims ... just slice up a reg sim to make it fit.

I tried that with my previous sim but it probably didn't work because my phone isn't unlocked. (Duh).
