There's been all kinds of on that type of case damaging the glass...
Plus it's hard plastic so you can forget about leaning the phone on anything to watch something on it..
Oh well... Each to his own... |
Um the phone sorta goes in it, nothing gets slid into place... It's not like a glove or whatever. I don't really know what a slide-on case is, probably not what I'm picturing. I am retarded. Also I have a rear screen protector on the back glass so I don't give a .
Plus the plastic isn't really hard, it's very odd... Has a really really soft texture to it, almost velvety. |

It's not like the royalties would be huge. HP for example holds several dozen patents of things used in every day computers by other brands. It's only a few cents here and there, but the do add up over volume. It's not like the pinch and squeeze is going to add several dollars to each competitive product. |

Steve Jobs gifts iPods to Chile’s rescued miners — report

Apple CEO Steve Jobs intends giving each of the Chilean miners rescued from deep beneath the Earth an iPod, a French report claims.
Jobs joins a list of benefactors impressed at the stoicism and courage of the 33 miners who survived 68 days of being literally buried alive. Luiz Urzua, the miner’s leader, himself emerged from the mine last overnight. It is understood the team plan to jointly release a book. They hope not to have to mine again, or so previous reports have claimed.
Le Figaro describes the iPods as “personal gifts from Steve Jobs.” No word on what make or model, but we’d anticipate a top-of-the-range iPod touch, (NB: the miners will likely also need a Mac to sync their devices). The miners have also been offered one week trips to Greece by a Greek mining firm and a trip to South Korea by Chile’s football league.
(IP4 + Mac Probook would be much better) |

For all the iPhone 4 users, the 0.5-9 update for Live Clock just went live on Cydia's Big Boss repo. It's a pretty awesome Mobile Substrate extension that moves the hands on your Springboard clock. Up until now, it wasn't updated for Retina. Grab that and WeatherIcon for serious geeky awesomeness.

$8 million iPhone 4: “It would be a disaster if it was ever lost.”

The world’s most expensive mobile phone is worth a mere $8 million and it’s decked out with 500 individually cut diamonds that total a shabby 100 carats. Yes, the new iPhone 4 is the device of choice and the home button is interchangeable with a glorious 7.4 carat pink diamond and also a rare 8 carat single cut diamond. Want more? The back is covered in rose gold with the Apple logo encrusted by 53 diamonds. I’m sold.
There were two of these made by British designer Stuart Hughes who said ” ”It was a fantastic challenge and I am really pleased with the end result – the phones look superb. Phones are so popular at the moment and this is the ultimate design for one. The diamonds are rare and difficult to source, stones like that usually have a very long history. It is amazing that someone is prepared to spend £5 million on a phone, I doubt it will get used because it is worth so much money. It would be a disaster if it was ever lost.” |
