Today was teh first day of my flight's new Physical Training program that I'm implementing. and we did a mock Air Force PT Test.
1 min of situps - I did 53
3 min break.
1 min of pushups - i did 62
3 min break.
1.5 mile run - i did it in 12:49.
a little slow on the run time, it was ing humid as hell this morning when we did it.
if anyone's interested in testing yourself out, and seeing how you do, you can find score sheets here:
http://www.af.mil/news/USAF_Fitness_Charts.pdf
there's a waist measurement too, but we didn't do that part; just the actual physical stuff. |

i'm no body builder, but the basic stuff of any workout regime applies:
the usual is 3-4x a week....on the same muscle groups. but you can switch it up and work everyday if you really want to. it's a good idea to get your rest in tho.
example: MWF - same c0r exercises on the same muscle group(s), TR - some other kind of aerobic exercise, SS - rest.
i dunno about the water thing - i doubt it. if anything, it may if you are drinking a lot for a short time frame, but you'll pee it out anyway, so it evens itself out later on. water's important tho! HYDRATE! lol |

on page 1 is a beginners workout.
for the first 2 weeks i would do all body workouts. You arent straining anything too hard, just getting the kinks out.
Then after two weeks of say a squats, bench press, biceps curls, calf raises, seated rows, and sit ups
switch over to isolating the muscle groups. I like three day splits of legs, chest/back, and arms. Everyone has their own personal thing but id say give up to a week between workouts *For that muscle* if they are hard. or only 2-3 days for lighter workouts. |
