make sure it heels up properly, you don't want to reinjure yourself, especially anything regarding your feet. good to see you back at it, work it out! |

| Oh yeah it's golden now! There was a point where I thought it would never heal properly and I'd have to get it re-broken and wear a cast or some ...then the very next day it was infinitely better. |

| Oh. I've also decided that for a while I'm just going to focus on doing HIIT and no weights/machines. My muscles don't really need to be toned much more than they already are; I just need to get the layer of fat covering them up off, lol. |

Any tips on getting some lean/dense muscle mass?
i don't want to be "big" per se, but ripped/dense would be a cool look.
i used to be 155 but this year i got all the way up to 175 with added muscle, but i still dont have the look i want. i've been doing about 4-5 exercises of 3 sets each (6-8 reps) of basic workouts.
for example on a chest day i do bench, incline bench/dumbell, flys, incline flys, and cable crossover.
how should i modify this to get the kind of muscle i want? |

you need to keep doing the weights to at the very least maintain plus muscle burns fat more efficiently. cardio is my new focus because like you i'm toned enough. if i could shed 10lbs of fat i'd be damn happy. |

lol what do you mean muscle burns fat?
losing weight is so dam easy ladies, jesus. BUILDING muscle and gaining weight is so much harder. all you gotta do to lose weight is eat less and do more cardio. |

you'll want to go into a cutting phase to get lean muscle. Stack that with a great cardio work out and you should be good.
cutting phase means to up your rep and lower the weight you are lifting. try doing 12-15 reps at low-mid weight. if you are benching 185 (2x45,2x25) at 6-8 reps, try benching 135 (2x45) @ 12-15 reps across 4 sets. roll that type of work out across all of your lifting exercises, stack on a great cardio work out and you should lean/cut up in no time provided you maintain a balanced diet. |

Cutting is lowering your caloric intake, not the way you train. What you just said is nothing more than going from a strength training regiment to a conditioning regiment. lower cals in means more body fat burning and more definition. The trick is to cut enough without losing muscle. |

fact, muscle tissue burns more calories than fat.
as for saying one is harder than the other that is not correct. it depends on the person. as for the eat less and do more cardio, it's not that simple or everyone would be near "perfect" whatever the hell that's supposed to me. |
