Ahhhh yeah. Yeah I'm definitely not like that at all. What I meant to say is, I have about an inch or two of fat covering up all the good stuff. Needs to go bye bye!
I weigh 126 right now and I'm 5'3". Which makes my BMI 22.3....which is still totally within my healthy range. But I don't like fat hanging over the top my jeans. :o |
i'm with you about that annoying last bit of fat. at 5'6" my bmi is 21.6 which is good but i want to have awesome abs just because i know its a hard to achieve (for my body at least). |

yeah i guess i'll work on breaking it up by splitting a run up with either going slower or other exercises but the knee problems aren't something i like to hear. my legs are pretty strong as is right now so that might help lessen my chances of injury. i'll try tomorrow for 20min and see how that goes. |
It might be genetic? I don't think anything bad is going to happen.
Speaking of which, I should go to bed now so I can wake up early and run. It's better to exercise in the morning. |

but it definitely broke up the monotonous running. |
That's the best part of running to me :) Especially those longer weekend runs, after a while (to me, an hour or so) you don't even feel you're running anymore. That feeling doesn't last forever though :( |

| Anyone know of any sites where you can download routine work outs? Sorta like a trainer but on paper and you jot down the sets and weights as you do them... |

Please don't start posting BMI as its some sort of fact that dictates a level of healthiness. It's a useless number that tells absolutely nothing. I'm 6'2, 200 lbs, and according to the calculator 25.7 or overweight. Overweight? Not a chance. Hell, I'm trying to get up to 210 lbs at least before spring training camp.
This number does not take into account that I played a college sport, am wide in the shoulders, still can see four of my six abs, or anything else. I'm in the gym 5-6 days a week, on top of skating 4 days a week. If you were to grab another person in the gym that fit into the "healthy" range, more than likely I could either out lift or out run them.
Every single professional athlete would fall into the unhealthy category (with a few exceptions).
Healthy is an individual feeling not some random stupid number. Each person has a different body structure, goals, etc. If you are really looking for a number that dictates some degree of healthiness look at body composition (% body fat). |

Yup troof that! My BMI hovers between 23-24, but I'm only 8-11% body fat. BMI fails to take into account muscle mass. |

I'm well aware that BMI isn't a diagnostic indicator of actual health...but it IS a good reference point.
edit: My % body fat is currently around 25. |
