Sometimes I'll see people do a bench press with their legs in the air (the thigh goes straight up, and the knee bends 90 degrees--imagine if someone were crawling, and you flipped them over).
Does this serve any particular purpose? |

it helps keep your back totally flat on the bench.. as for getting maximum strength on the press, it actually inhibits you. |

| putting your feet up on the bench keep the lower back against the bench and makes it so you cant cheat. Its an isolation move. |

Here is my, I JUST woke up, not pumped at all, and im still carrying some fat picture hehe.
Ill take a post workout pic one of these days
Anywho. December I had hepatitis and was 155lbs of skin and bones. Im now up to 184 lbs with a bit of fat. Im back home now and have some time off so Im probably going to be doing a bit better. For the last 6 months i was lucky if I made it into the gym 2x a week.

Ill be taking measurements later. Maybe pictures with a real camera so i dont lose so much contrast >.<

so im going to start working out. i never work out or anything so im quite unfit. what are soem good habits to get into? im going to start out kinda slow. i want to bulk up a bit but not a ton. im 155 and 5'11".
how should my eating habits also play into this? about a year ago i already cut out soda and fast food. i try to eat salads here and there but its not like im always eating it. i have been trying to cook my own food at home and stay away from those tv dinners and what not. any other suggestions? |
