When you say shins I take it you mean the muscles around the shin area?

When I used to run a lot on treadmills, concrete and generaly hard surfaces, I'd slowly develop shin splints which used to hurt like hell over a period of time.

This was mainly due to poor footwear which didn't absorb any shock from the foot constantly pounding on the surface. Shin splints are weird because the longer you run in your workout the worse they get and the pain'll disappear for a while until you next workout.

Just a case of upgrading your footwear, running less per session and maybe changing the surface you work on.

That's assuming it's shin splints :haha:

sore shins are also caused from tight calve muscles

go for a deep tissue massage and stretch em out!

Also, cutting off your leg right below the kneecap will eliminate this problem.

That doesn't really solve the problem. The muscle will still be sore you just won't feel it.

i am currently at 140 at 5'8.

i have good physique...you know. little man and what not, but i'm very tiny.

i heard if i eat a lot of chicken wings and drink beer i will gain mass...but to no avail.

where does one start?

just simple pushups for a while? or do i jump right into the gym and get weightgain 4000.


any insight that is helpful would be appriciated.

go to www.fitday.com and tell me how many calories your average day is. Its going to take some time to get it all set up so it tells you but if youre interested youll do it! I did.

This is the proper thread to continue, like I said I did cheat and not proud of it, temptation was so high and I was a weak minded for listening to this kid at the gym. I was working so many hours and was slacking off. I'll never take that again, the pain was so crazy and it took about 3 days to go away after I stopped. I'm at around 247 give or take and it's a good weight at 6"2". I'll get off the mass gaining diet in another 2 months or so and continue with a leaner diet to get ripped. Does that Ripped fuel they sell at GNC work by any chance?

I didn't dare drink while I was on it, I quit drinking about a month prior to stacking. I haven't drank any liquor to this date, last time I was at a bar I had one beer and a strawberry dackeri virgin, lol. Your 5 protein shake gives me so much energy not only during workouts but throughout my whole day. My set goal is at around 240 pounds once I start toning down, nothing crazy though. Are there any supplements you would recommend for getting ripped. I got vacation days coming up in 2 months and I want to start around that period to see how it affects me while I'm off duty.
