Two words: fast cheese
Well, I don't know what do you call it in English, but it's cheese with almost no fat (around 2%) and a lot of proteins (around 12-13%).
500 grams of that cheese combined with half a litre of milk equals 80 grams of proteins. Win. |

Jenny you should try a cycling/spinning class. It kicks my ass every time. My heart rate sits around 160 (minimum) for a solid hour. |

It depends what area's, if any, your looking to target when you exercise. Treadmill work is actually more beneficial than cycling for example if you want to lose some weight around the abdominal region, due to the constant twisting and turning you make your body perform through running technique. I've been running years and have never had any sore joints, although I did have a stress fracture, but that was because I had poor, worn running shoes with no support. |
well you have different experiences than i have. i always end up with something hurting after running a while. not good on the joints and to be frank when you have big breasts it's not comfortable to run so for those reasons plus my experience of running i don't do it. i would rather do ANYTHING than run.
as for spot weight loss, that's impossible. tredmill vs cycling you can compare overall but one form of cardio or another does not target one particular area of your body to drop extra weight. |

Has anybody tried spinning? Running on the treadmill kills my knees and it's boring so any fun alternatives that are also kind on the knees? |
No, I've not tried spinning. I started swimming because my knees were in pain. For some reason I've always disregarded swimming but damn it wears me out more than any cardio I've ever done... and I know I'm not doing right :stongue: The plus is 1) I'm not sore the next day 2) only natural to use hot tub and sauna 3) eye candy 4) Don't have to break between workout to use restroom 5) It feels ing amazing when you're done. |

| Swimming is good on everything. Spinning isnt that great on the knees -- if you dont have the resistance set right and youre in a stand, you could definitely break a knee. Its the most unstable part of being on the bike. |

Yeah I'm gonna do a bunch of different things. Definitely ride the bikes (but I've been doing that anyways), and use the rowing machine. Also going to do a half hour high intensity session on the elliptical combo'ed with a half hour fast walk on an inclined treadmill.

Well, your experience may vary, and that's just fine. But it's incorrect to make blanket statements such as
| quote: | | running is not good for you |
as if they were objective fact, applicable to everyone. |
