I certainly can't run a full marathon at current state. Need to train my ass off for that, hence only doing it if I can make time. However I'm not sure if she meant full or half marathon. I'm down to train for full one if that's what she wants though. Lucky I have a trainer in the fam. |

| Yes don't worry. I've been training my ass. |

| I think I've traced the origin of my bad back to the leg lifts I was doing regularly. Now I've switched to doing mainly planks for my abs. I can do just over 4 minutes now, and at that point it really is just about how much pain you can take before giving in. |

4 minutes seems so excessive. I really can't push myself beyond a minute and 20 seconds, so instead I add in other movements like an elbow twist or hip dip when I do side planks, or using the stability ball for front planks.
They're just such a boring exercise. I love the results though. |

| They get interesting real fast when you decide to push yourself. |

| By interesting do you mean you start doubting your bowel control? |

| I just don't feel that doing it for longer gets me any better results. I prefer to push myself with added movements. It's counter-productive to do things if you don't really enjoy them, and the way I do it is more enjoyable for me. |

I don't know how you're wired, bas, but I can safely say that's never happened to me. |

| I just get this feeling that 4 minutes of planks would make me my pants or vomit. Of course once you vomit, that's how you know you're done. |

Regular planks? Man, 4 mins is excessive.
You need to work your abs harder. Use a swiss ball. |

| Right? What's the point/benefit of doing planks for 4 minutes? |
|

| Well there is some but not enough to warrant actually doing it. He needs to up the resistance, maybe even do jack knife planks on the ball. |
