Whats the best way to build strength?
Low reps + higher amount of weight? |

Spot on, plus high protein intake/general health etc.. |
No.
It depends on what you mean by "strength". Doing low reps and high weight will put a lot more strain on your joints and tendons. This strengthens your joints and tendons, not so much your muscles. Doing mad high reps will not do as much for your tendons/joints, but will increase the endurance of your muscles - hence your actual MUSCLES get stronger.
If strength is the ability to quickly yank something heavy up like a power lifter, then yes, low reps are good - stop you from breaking . If you want to be able to lift something under more control, high reps. |

Hey guys,
Alright, so I work out 4x/week with the following split:
Chest/Lats
Arms/Tris
Legs/Abs (x2)
Now my question involves cardio.. how often should I be doing it, in terms of frequency, and length of time per week when I'm 'bulking' and when I'm 'cutting.'
Note I'm not a body builder so I use those terms very loosely. Note, currently my primary goal is to gain more muscle mass (and obviously a bit of fat coz of the increased calorie intake).. |

| ^^^you could do some light running 3 times a week for 30min. Perhaps ride the stationary bike for the same amount of time...just my $0.02 |

Okay,
The master cleanser diet. Any thoughts on it??
Basically for 10 days you drink lemonade and it helps cleanse the body of muscous, waste, and disease.
I don't know if I have the will power to complete it.
Thinking of doing it for a full week because breaking the diet is another 3 day process.
Can start it on Friday and go through the weekend because the toughest days are the first 2-3 days. |
You should try a diet that is similar to that one. Instead it's with green tea, I don't think lemonade is going to "cleanse your body". The green tea is nasty but I lost 10 lbs the first week doing it. |
