That's for the general population and I agree hence the marketing of products in any of the health industry. It's the in your face tv ads for herpes, viagra, any of that stuff that is masked with soft music and happy family scenes to give you that sense of security that if you have a problem, buy our product and you can live just as happy as the people you are watching.
Same applies to the supplement industry, and again for the general pop, yea you may be getting the necessary nutrients in your daily foods. For some though, who watch their caloric intake, monitor HDL/LDL levels, and are pretty intense when it comes to health and wellness fairly depend on these supplements to attain certain goals. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fist pumping the jersey shore or take decka shots in my shoulder. For me it's natural fitness for an active lifestyle that i choose to live. You only catch me really on TA sitting infront of the computer in the winter time and during work hours. I make it an absolute must to be outside as much as possible, and probably 85% of the time, it's by myself as a loner doing as i do.
It's not that I disagree with you though, there has to be millions of types of proteins, various generic (gnc/vit shoppe) vitamins and supplements out there. It really just depends on your lifestyle as mines has changed significantly over the past 2 years and continues to evolve every day. |
lol...fist pumping the Jersey shore! |

no i actually do go through these weird phases where i have pain and stiffness and it debilitates me for over a week. it was like "frozen shoulder" and "frozen knee" type of stuff and it was during times where i wasn't active or working out regularly and i didn't have any sort of injury to explain it either, it was weird.
i'm gonna go see an ortho just to make sure. i have this weird thing with my right pinky on my finger, i can't straighten it completely. i've always just assumed it was a "calcium deposit" like the doctor told me when i was little. he said i might have fractured it and the tendon grew in too tightly. but i don't recall fracturing it, i think i would know if i broke my damn finger right? |
Yeah dude...go see a doc. :) |

Osteoarthritis pretty much sucks. It's general wear and tear on and around the joints...and it can happen to anyone at any age, but it gets worse as you get older (obviously, the more you use your joints, the worse it gets). It is definitely debilitating. Hard to move, stiffness, pain, etc.
But really before you freak out...see a doc! |

Chances are you are fine jamie, no worries. I wouldn't go crazy over it, but maybe practice adding glucosamine to your supplement shake. Then just keep it in the back of your mind over the next 2 weeks. See if you are noticing some results. As of right now, a good bench mark is to do an action that will cause alittle bit of pain, or flex the shoulder where it's stiff. Write it down on a piece of paper and put it on your fridge. Go at the glucosamine for 2 weeks and then go back to the paper and try it out again. Do the same set of stretches and actions that caused the pain then, and see if it's still reoccurring.
Chances are it won't as pain and stiffness is alleviated naturally by your body, but keep it in the back of your head. Continue on the glucosamine and see how long before your next episode in those areas. |

I’m taking advantage of my free session with one of the gym trainers tonight because I realized that a lot of the machines are sort of intimidating and I’m not quite sure how to use everything. I’ve been sticking to the same machines over and over and I really want to use the other ones but I look at them and I’m like wtf how do I use this thing? Lol
Also, any of u guys…or girls I should say see dudes in the gym who seem to follow you around and use the machines right next to you? lol this one dude seems to do that whenever we are there at the same time. He uses the machines that are like practically on top of mine and we are like 2 inches away from each other I can almost smell him lol. He is so jacked though holy . He is like 6 ft and probably 250+ lbs. Like fitness model material. I’m kinda digging that big look now. The only thing I don’t like on guys and never did is perfect washboard abs. Six packs are gay. I’m all about big chest and shoulders and only mildly defined stomach. Even if they don’t really have a lot of definition in their stomach at all, that’s fine by me. It’s all about their arms, chest & back.
Anyone else anti-6pack? I don’t like them on females either I would never want one. |
