HIT cardio is . every time i've done it, i've lost tonnes of muscle. not worth it.
when i cut, i use:
tricreatine malate or CEE before/after gym
bcaas ANY time i'm physically exerting myself
sesamin caps
instead of doing HIT, i go for 2 power walks per day, at about 15-20 mins each. i keep my protein intake as normal, but only eat carbs when i know i will use them. i eat my normal 5-6 meals a day, but i have my last meal just before i go to bed, which is usually cottage cheese or something slowly digested. people usually say to stop eating at like 8-9:00, but this is stupid. if you're in a calorie defecit there will be nothing for your body to use for healing overnight. sure, you will get catabolic and lose fat while you're asleep, but it also limits your ability to train hard and you'll probably lose muscle too (because they aren't healing).
the green tea thing is also mostly a myth. most decent studies show you need to be consuming ridiculous ammounts to have any impact, even then it's only like 100 cals a day. if anything, green tea is a great appetite suppressant, because it tastes like crap. i drink it alot. :) |

most trainers are retards. at every gym i've been to (4), the trainers were complete nooblets, except the gay bodybuilders gym i went to for a year; most people there were competing. a few of the trainers there had been competing since the 80s, lol!
www.google.com > any trainer. |

Different strokes for different folks I guess. When I was doing HIIT cardio in the summer, I was seeing improved fatloss compared to my older moderate cardio regimen.
what brand of creatine do you normally use? I've been using the Storm/Shock Therapy stack from Universal Nutrition and I've been loving it. I've been going seeing steady gains every week.
Anyway, be back in 90 mins, time to go to the gym. |

Everything you ever wanted to know about green tea and more. I'll post a tiny bit below. Take the time to read the whole article, though.
http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?...dspice&dbid=146
"Green tea not only promotes fat loss, but specifically, the loss of visceral fat-fat that accumulates in the tissues lining the abdominal cavity and surrounding the intestines (viscera) and internal organs. Unlike fat deposits on the hips and thighs (which result in the so-called "pear" body shape), visceral fat (which produces the "apple" body shape) is highly associated with increased risk for metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes.
Green tea contains three major components that promote fat loss: catechins, caffeine and theanine. Studies suggest that green tea compounds promote fat loss by inhibiting both gastric and pancreatic lipase, the enzymes that digest triglycerides, and fatty acid synthetase, the enzyme responsible for synthesizing fatty acids into the form in which they can be stored in the body's adipose (fat) cells." |

"Most studies have indicated 10 cups of green tea per day ... burned roughly 80 calories"
:stongue:

I'm not saying it's a cure all. I was just trying to answer her question about how scientists think it is related to metabolism. I rely on a mix of cardio and weight training plus a sensible diet, personally, which does include green tea (though not 10 cups). |

| well i like iced green tea, although not enough to include it into my everyday diet. next time i feel like a passion iced tea lemonade i'll reach for some green tea. |
