| i wan to start running. the weather is still ty around here, though. i have p90, but i'm such a weakling that sticking to the schedule is hell for me. after yoga i can't do arms for a few days, for instance. i do the 'cardio' segment 3 or 4 times a week instead now...lately it's more like 2 or 3. |

nah, it's not shin splints. i had those in high school. real bad. this is actually ON the bone, not the muscular area near the bone, but on the actual tibia...and it's only in a couple of spots...not the whole thing. which is why i figured minor fractures (what with all the concrete running) |
possible stress fracture.. however, those usually show up on the metatarsals....
in any event, you should prob take some time off to see if the pain goes away. |

That's your problem. If you keep taking breaks, you're never going to improve. Even if it hurts, even if you're tired, you have to keep going. That's how it works. Stick to the routine and you'll see results, but do the routine every once and a while and you'll just plateau. |

| I just realised I don't have a pull-up bar for the P90X, and can't fit one anywhere. How about the band the guy uses in the first video to do 'pull-ups'? Anyone tried one of those? |

| My cousin's wife uses the bands on almost all the weightlifting videos. They work great. |

I do the bands. I got the heaviest one I could find (purple usually online), because I knew I would be missing a little on the pull-ups. Works great :) |

Been trying to get over a cold and was feeling really good today so I decided to try out some new running shoes...
10 minutes in (on a path that I never ran before, which turned out to be all up hill :p) I was coughing up thick gross ... So I walked it out a bit and then noticed my feet started to hurt like !
I finally realized that these shoes suck. I wore them in Japan for a while walking around, and thought that my legs hurt just cause of the pure amount of walking that I was doing (like walking alllllll day, non-stop) and didn't put two and two together when I switched to another pair of shoes that it was the first pair of shoes (I thought I had just gotten used to walking that much).
Anyways, I got ing sick again, I am coughing and crap (I got home and my skin had turned green and I felt like I was gunna puke)... I hate colds, and now I am bummed about these shoes.
The shoes are New Balance, which I never have had an issue with before. Rage. :whip: |

Mine worked fine in the shoulders & arms -workout, just gotta put some tension on it.
So, I did shoulders & arms yesterday, but since I started on a wednesday, I missed the chest & back, and plyometrics -workouts from monday and tuesday. Gonna catch up today and do all of them + the yoga..
Guess I could've just started it from day 1, even if it was wednesday :clown: |

One of the worst things you can do when you have a cold is exercise. Especially cardio. |

Your arms aren't going to get significantly bigger. It's good to work all parts of your body. If you just want to get in athletic shape, do Insanity instead of P90X. |

I never understand this. People say they wanna start working out but then they don't want to reap the benefits of working out. Wtf? :conf:
Anywho...Pull ups work your arms, deltoids and your back. |
