I thought those competitions involved way more weight :p Maybe i should try my arm at one of them. |
yeah why not go for it.
i know my max bench is pretty but that max reps @ 90 percent of my bodyweight i thought id get that down packed, but alot of powerlifters do train for this event and are experienced lol.
keep in mindwhen your in competition 1 rep = full up lock the arms then down, touch the chest. The trick is to get a good arch in your back while either your butt or hamstrings are still touching the top of the bench.
You want to lift with your feet as close to your chest as possible and glutes flexed, a solid body for a powerful lift. Its a valuable technique for maximizing yoru bench. |

You can try doing this:
get on a decline bench and pick up a 25lbs disc. sit up until your parallel to the bench and then slowly and using control move the disc from one side to the other while holding it out in front of you. it should give you a good burn ;) |
so i tried these last night with a medicine ball...worked pretty well, i'll definitely do some more of them.
haven't tried the russian twists yet, but i assume they'll work out pretty similar, maybe even better because of the extra stress on stabilizers and the abs because of the balancing factor.
i dunno why i didn't try these out before lol....pretty intuitive that theyd be good lol... |

| Need to work on the Arms NRG, they dont look in proportion to your upper body, its almost to ribbed. |

Actually I do only 3-4 sets ...
Why so many reps if that many sets though? |
