I actually used a treadmill today for the first time ever in this gym! I did 70 mins. 25 mins of fast walking then I did HIIT till I couldn't take it anymore. No weight training at all, just cardio. I didn't think I was going to last as long as I did, but ended up surprising myself. |
wow that's a REALLY long time (at least for me), good for you. you adding that to your weekly workout? |

| Any time my mom tells me I look too skinny (even though I don't) I feel ashamed. |

| Well my body/size hasn't really changed since HS, aside from the weight I gained last Christmas. I've fluctuated between 115 and 120 pounds for over 10 years. So I dunno wtf my mom gets this from. |

Thx, yea I'm seriously plateaued right now with my BF% I'm at 10% and happy with my lifting progress, but I can't seem to shed anymore fat. I've adjusted my diet both with keto, cyclic keto, and regular carb meals to no avail. There's one thing I do and I will not drop is drinking, lol. I never drink beer, only liquor and diet mixers. That I'm sure is what's causing it, but I think a nice change in cardio will knock me back into fat burner mode and shed these last few fat lbs. I know I said many pages back that I wouldn't run but it's time for the HIIT, hehe.

well jenny you are lucky you don't fluctuate much but don't you have to give it up to that book you mentioned before? it's not easy staying the same weight...
also, i hate the tredmill and running in general so even 20min on the treadmill is too long. |

I hate long slow cardio. I do intervals. Tabata if I feel like killing myself.
:p
Been using a stationary bike for cardio lately. |

I do in terms of forming better eating habits, and for helping me lose the weight I never should have gained in the first place. But other than that I've never had a problem maintaining my ideal weight.
I don't feel like I have to work hard at being fit. I was pretty fit even before I started a gym routine; although I realize that as I age, sticking with a regimen will become increasingly important.
It's not as though changing my lifestyle was a complete 180 for me. I was used to an active lifestyle growing up. It was more about becoming more structured and conscious of what I was putting in my body and how I was using that energy. So just some fine tuning really. |

And for people who may otherwise crash into things when they're running outdoors :p
Besides, I don't really care mind treadmills as long as I can blast some fast-paced acid techno in my mp3 player and run to the beat :D
