| Off day and I feel fat for it. Yah, rest is good, but I still don't like sitting around doing nothing. Starting a new diet soon. 2.5x body weight worth of protein a day in addition to creatine. Here's to gaining ten lbs of muscle and hopefully looking like a beast at 210 by then |

Ya, I've developed some sort of mentality where I have to do some sort of exercise everyday. I've been going to the gym 7x/week with planned workouts. I really don't believe in over-training in regards to weightlifting (cardio is a different story). I've been at it for about a month now and haven't had any issues. |

you should give your body time to rest 7 days a week is a lot and ultimately can't be that good for you |

Well here is the thing: I played varsity hockey my freshmen year at a pretty big Hockey East school. From my personal experience, since I never saw a game, my schedule was twice on the ice every day (3 hours) and a gym session whether more cardio, plyos, or lifting (1 hour). Normally this was a six day a week operation and one day rest. By the time I had heard that I wasn't going to have a spot, I was skating four hours a day five times a week, and lifting one to two hours daily. I always felt I was pushing my body, but never beyond the limit. At no time were trainers or coaches saying like take a day off. You only took days off if you were hurt and even at that you could do a light morning skate. And the only real days off were once the season ended. |

| i think that might set you up for problems when you are older. not saying it can't be done because you can do it but i don't think its good to put that type of strain on your body daily...i don't know when i'm 60 i want to be able to do stuff like play tennis or go on long walks |

Extended my long runs to 23,5km last weekend, plus I've found a pretty good solution to the 'lack of energy' problems I started to experience after 20 or so km. Felt like I could do 30k, but I don't want to build up distance too fast.
Took a two day rest from running Tuesday and Wednesday, but I plan on doing a good 10k with tempo variations after work. Then again on Friday, and another long run on Sunday.
I'm really starting to feel better as well. |

You're backwards bro...u can never do too much cardio but u can overtrain with weightlifting quite easily. This is one of the most common rules of working out. You do not grow when training and u do not grow at the gym, lol. You grow when your sitting on you're ass allowing you're body to repair itself. You will never make gains like that, and it will make u very skinny. |

Yes there is tonnes of medical proof about the risks of over training, you need days off for your muscle to re-build it self.
You simply wont grow as fast if your always pushing your body with no time to rest. |
