I would highly recommend this book to diet noobs or anyone who's reached a weight loss plateau. Everything is explained in layman's terms (like really ing simple...I was almost insulted, lol), and it's not a hack "diet". This book helped me change my life. The way I eat now is based on what I learned from this book.

Thanks, I'm trying to borrow it from the library now :p |

not really. but if you compare the people next to him, and think the're somewhere near 6 feet (5'10" or something), kinda. |

Inertia how tall are you? Quite a few people are telling me to fight at 170, but I think I'm way too short for that.
Feeling pretty good today, so I think I'll resume my training. Probably legs/core/cardio. |

5'10" approx.
i'm about the same height as my instructor, and he fights at 170 as well.
how tall are you?
it also depends how you're built. there's a 190lbs 5'8" guy at my gym who can destroy me in all aspects of strength/conditioning. hella fast too. albeit he does have a bit of a gut. i think he's fought all the way down at 155lbs in the past. |

although i know i just started bjj (was doing just muay thai until a few weeks ago) i often have to partner up with people at least 30 lbs lighter and get schooled.:p |

when you have 40lbs on the guy (and you're just 185lbs yourself) and you get tapped 6x in 5 mins, then you can talk about gettin schooled...
he's crazy good though. took 1st in LW in the last tournament, all fights UNDER FIFTEEN SECONDS by RNC, except for the final, triangle at 1:45. funnily, triangle is his best move though, we call him mario sankaku. he's very talented at taking the back from standing, as demonstrated...
given only 2 weight classes are being used in the intermediate class in this tournament as thus far announced (<170 and >170) i was conscious no matter how well i did i'd prolly lose to him, he got sent to advanced. got his work cut out for him, advanced thus far is going to be 1 absolute weightclass. |

I'm just doing it to get into shape and because my girlfriend likes to train this way too. I'm never gonna fight or anything. Even though i know i'm getting schooled by someone a lot more experienced than me, i have my pride. :p
I'm talking about guys that you would see on the street, and they would not scare anyone. Pride hurt or not it is still an awesome workout. I get way more sore doing this than any other type of training i have ever tried. |
