Just got back from the gym...only did biceps and they are obliterated, lol. Started out with dumb bells and did full contraction palm up, then switched over to hammer. 4 sets of each grip 35lbs 15 reps. my arms seem to respond well do the higher rep dumbell curls than lifting heavy with these for some reason. Anyway, then moved over to cables and curled in between the pulleys. This is good for getting the biceps to get that sharp peak. Another 4 sets here at 80lbs each arm for 10 reps. next straight bar on a cable machine and curled 3 sets 130lbs @ 8 reps. Then swaped out the bar with the Rope (tricep rope) for hammer grip 130lbs. 3 sets, 8 reps. Finally ending with hammer grip pull ups 4 sets started at 25 reps, then fell to 20, then to 15 and 12...pretty much dead at this point.

looking good jenniepie.. nice to see someone using my poses hahaha..
everyone is working out now and this thread is popular again. Im up to 151 lbs now which is pretty much the heaviest i've ever been. Its not lean lean but i would say im below 9 or 8 percent bodyfat. The next goal for me is to get to 160.
Ill post my progress at somepoint as everyone else is. |

| since noone else mentioned it, whoever wants an intense lower bicep exercise - try curls with your palms facing down on an ez-bar. keep your elbows tight at your side and try not to use your back obviously (doing these with your back against the wall would be ideal). it works the lower bicep like hammer curls do, but in a much different way. the first time i did these, i felt a way different feeling compared to hammers |

so many damn people talking about curling... lol
anyone powerlift or do compound exercises? oh also try out jiujitsu. rolling for a while is seriously a full body workout, except more intense. |

I love me some barbell and dumb bell deadlifts and power cleans, but I usually only do the deadlifts. Also military presses, and dips on a regular basis. |

its funny, some people's goals are to slim down; bulk up, etc... but mine are just to really maintain.
i mean, i'd like my arms to be a little bigger - but not to the point where i'm actually measuring them now and want to pick out a certain amount of inches i'd like to increase (lol, that's what she said)
my metabolism is still ing fast which i guess is good; so i'm not a fatty - but it also doesn't really help muscle growth either.
just wondering if anyone else just works out to just plain ol' stay healthy and in shape? maintain what you got? |

That's exactly it. Initially, yes, it was to lose the weight I had put on, but now I'm exactly where I want to be. So it's all about staying fit and feeling good. :)
The results I got were better than anything I was aiming for, so I'm pretty happy. |

cool cool.
i always ear about people running like 5miles or 30 minutes or whatever, and i always run just 1-2 miles or 20 minutes at the most. and do some pushups and abs and pullups and maybe some light weights; and call it a day. in and out in 40 minutes, MAX. |

| Yeah I changed my whole routine so that I wouldn't be in the gym for longer than an hour. I cut my runs down to 20 minutes and changed everything to supersets. |
