core excercises (thanks) are useless because they don't really build any strength or mass, and other excercises work the abs just as well. Its like doing curls vs rows or pullups.
But if you love doing planks then go ahead, i won't stop you |
Bahahahahaha! :stongue: |

:wtf: core exercises are for the core of your body; yes you can work out your core along with other exercises but throwing in a couple core centric exercises does more good than harm and in the long run it'll help you lift those heavier weights.
jenny - if looking for other core exercises that are more "fun" than the plank check out: http://www.thehoneyline.com/fitness. gabrielle reese is my fitness idol so started to steal some exercises from her site to mix things up. |

Worst ing work out ever today. I was all pumped to do deadlifts, but my ing bf tightened the cap too tight on the end of the weights and I couldn't get the plates off. Then my ing mp3 player died, also because my ing bf used it last time and neglected to charge it after. RAAAAAGE.

Haha, I had that the other day. I couldn't unscrew the weights on my barbell, even though I was the one who'd tightened them. In the end I had to get a hammer and literally bang the screw until it loosened. |

Lol, that's exactly what I tried to do. I was already halfway through my workout though and wasting time at that point. I kept cursing what a stupid ing my bf was, lol.
I was really looking forward to today's workout. |

| Picked up my first workout-related injury in four years yesterday: a minor calf strain. It's fine to walk on but hurts when I try and run. I should probably do a more rigorous warm-up. |

| warm up and stretching are your friend but all in all you are lucky if you haven't had any injuries in 4 years. i feel like i'm nursing something almost as much as i'm not |
