so in more news, my gym just bought a whole bunch of new balance balls, and i found my favorite! it's a peanut shaped stability ball, its so easy to do ALL of my ab work outs on it. obliques, crunches, and knee pulls...don't have to worry about wobbling even though i never had that problem with the regular balance ball. |
Do you by any chance go to Equinox in midtown? My company has some type of deal with them and I'm thinking of joining next week. |

Brian there is no money in sports for non-athletes so I'm definitely not rich...company pays the annual fee and I supposedly pay them back partly. Sports Club is actually closer to work so I would prefer going there but the deal is only with Equinox. |

Do cardio early in the day on an empty stomach if possible.
Eat most of your calories early in the day if possible and try to stay away from lots of calories later in the evening.
Lift weights and don't say that you worry about getting 'too big' or I'll slap you.
Ok those are the basics. There's ALOT more to it than that but until I see you posting in here regularly, I'm going to withhold info. :) |
I do the mistake of eating 1-2 a day (chach gets mad when I do, shhh dont tell him lol) I know I should eat 3 times a day but I don't know I just never do. I heard if I wanted to increase my metabolism I should eat 6 SMALL snacks per day (every 3 hours or so) And about weights... They told me I should avoid weights since I just want to lose all the extra fat first and then I should start weights to tone up because I want a flat stomach and a tighter butt. But whatever what the hell do I know, that's why I'm here asking you guys haha I was thinking of taking these pills called Slim Quick, they are suppose to help women lose weight quicker or something like that. Should I take them? |

Lifting weights increases muscle mass which in turn helps speed up your metabolism so whoever told you not to lift weights is wrong. You need to eat often because your body is like a machine, if you want it to continue working you need to give it energy. When you are constantly eating (good foods) your body is working not remaining stagnant. As for pills I detest weight loss pills, do what you can naturally and it'll come off. I'm a girl too and I have friends who take whatever pills and they only work for so long. If you truly want to be healthy and remain healthy you have to change your eating and exercise habits. Don't expect quick huge results because it takes time. Also I've lost about 30lbs without taking any type of pills and have remained my current size for a while...keep in mind when I was chubby I was still exercising all the time but my eating habits were awful. |

as for the pills, wai is correct...please do not take any of those fat burning pills, just go at it naturally and you'll feel 100x better. |

Very nice. I am definitely needing to take a week off at least. This arm is pwn't. Feels like spaghetti since I can't grip too much without it hurting. I'll go see a doctor about it when I get a day off sans school work and/or regular work and class. Until then, advil, running, and rest! |

congrats man. losing 4 pants sizes is a big thing!
my testimony. i was a pretty skinny guy growing up(30/32), then went through a depression phase in life, and went up to 38. i knew i had to clean myself up, so i shed about 15 pounds, and went to a 34. i am happy to be a 34, but want to drop to 32. i don't want to be a 30. weird how 2 pants sizes is such a big deal for me. lol.
as for pills, no. natural is always the best way to go. a couple of days of cardio, and you'll feel like a superstar, and want to do it everyday. :) |
