it's not the quantity, it's the quality of those 26.2. and new york's is rated as one of the toughest in the world. not sure how london's is, but good luck there.
bri, maybe the military has those kinds of tests for distance. i'm sure tubular will can shed some light on that. |

I can see why with some of the inclines located around the course of the event and more prominently the bridge, which one of my buddies told me was a ing nightmare to navigate when he done his a number of years back.
I'll stick to guide nyce directed me to and continue to do 25-30 a miles per week for now and perhaps step it up when the time comes 3-4 months prior to the actual event. |

i think the military test are on speed - how fast you finish the 2 mile run to be named top of class.
stellar - incline running is pretty bad, central park is full of them and they are pretty tough. all this run talk makes me excited for tonight's run, then again I'm still pretty tired from mon/tues back to back 5k's and tuesday's outside run really made me sweat like no other. i'm hoping to get in a 5k tonight but i can tell now how tired my legs are. tonight might just be a 15m bike night if the rain holds up |

15 Miles? That's some serious bikage there. I can barely do 20k in 45 minutes and that's when I've had a day or two to rest up :)
I'll probably do some incline work on the treadmill at some point in January-February next year just in preparation for what's ahead in London. As it's one of the world's major marathons with New York and a few others, I'm sure it'll be just as tough. |

| 15M is nothing, that's like 2.5 loops around central park but the north hill is one hell of a climb. i really enjoy biking though it lets me hammer out all of the anger and stress i have, similar to running i guess lol |

I guess I need to do some more cycling then, 20k at max and then stick a fork in me, I'm done for the day.
I'm quite fortunate in that the route around here is quite scenic before you hit urbania after 7-8 miles. Then again, more public places tend to keep me more focused, motivated and awake when I'm trundling along, so a mixture of both routes is ideal. |

| I prepared my protein shake before I went for my rollerblade and left it in the freezer, so that all I had to do when I got back was blend it...and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm cold frothy goodness! I'm gonna do this everytime! |

Whey Gourmet. 1 scoop of the chocolate flavor after every work out, or when I want a late-night snack/have no food in the house.
edit: I always add a banana to it! Most of the time a teaspoon of peanut butter as well....depending on what I already ate that day. |
