your shoulders really shouldnt be taking that much of a hit, try putting the bar on your traps instead of across your neck.
reminder: You should be able to do at least as many reps of chinups with the same weight you can benching. if you can do 2 sets of 6 with 185 on bench you should be able to do the same with chins.
shoulder injuries increase significantly once you can bench more than you weigh without also having that rear shoulder and upper back to lock them in. |
