srsly though, you should try running outdoors. the artificial conditions of a treadmill will help you with weight loss and what not, but if you like to play sports (e.g. basketball/soccer) then the best fitness is outdoor running because the cushioned state of the treadmill won't exert pressure on certain small muscles and tendons which you will need when playing the sports. i learned the hard way after weeks of treadmill then my first game of basketball, thinking i'm all fit and good (even after lots of stretching) but i got destroyed...body was sore for DAYS. |

| i've put on 10 lbs of solid flab this winter and with my equipment disassembled until i'm done finishing my basement and no time for the gym i guess i'm going to have to get rid of it the old fashioned way and go on an amphetamine diet. i'll report my progress in the thread later |

Running is freaking horrible for u...aside from the healthy aspect of weight loss and conditioning, the constant jolting of your organs and wear and tear of your joints outweigh any benefits. |

yeah, the joint wear and tear sucks :( running is just such a liberating feeling, and when you're on a nature trail or something, with fresh, crisp fall air, it's something else! |
