well im eating really well. there is only a 500 caloric deficit that im instituting for fat loss, but im still eating 2500-2600 calories. i usually go three workouts all out and the 4th one i back off and do lighter weights- to switch it up a bit. i was thinking that might be why i cant get past the 65's but it makes no sense cuz shoulder work is teh only thing being affected... |
caloric deficit is making it very hard to make your gains. You could possibly be overtrained as well, hence why I recommend u don't hit them for at least a week. |

| Guys I never post here but do have one piece of advice. If you want to lose fat AND gain muscle at the same time, the only thing I've found that works is atkins or some variation of a low carb diet. Yes it sucks depriving yourself of sweet stuff and the first 3-4 days are hell while your body adjusts to burning fat instead of carbs for energy (light-headedness and low energy are common while your body burns the remaining carbs away)..but once you get past that, the diet works great for losing fat without losing muscle..provided you keep lifting around 10-15 minutes a day. After the initial induction period where you are limited to 20 carbs per day, try aiming for around a 52/40/8 (fat/protein/carbs) diet. You'll have plenty of protein feeding your muscles to prevent them from breaking down while you lift. Your cardio endurance may be less on low carb but since your body is burning fat 24x7 as it's primary source of fuel, cardio becomes much less necessary. Just follow the diet and do a quick full body 15-minute dumbell session every night to keep all your muscles active, and the fat will melt off. I know high fat diets sound insane to most people but I did my research on it, and the fact is that it works if you follow it. The only downside is that if you slip up on the diet, your body takes 2-3 days to adjust back to fat-burning mode..and it can quickly cancel out your hard work. Stay committed and you will see results. Do it half-assed with a sweet snack every few days and you will likely gain weight, since you are eating lots of fat but not remaining in ketosis (fat burning mode). |

LOL
I'm sweating like a mongrel, ps I didn't do HIIT just did a 2 mile quick run. My cardio is still pretty good but I'm winded as .
Also never running without boxer briefs again, my boys were all over the place slapping my face and . Like at my first sprint they were out the boxer hole lol it was hilarious I had to stop and organize my stuff. |
Don't EVER do any sort of exercise in boxers or free balling. There was a guy (in Australia I think) a few years back that had to get his testicles amputated because the boxers wound up so tight and cut off the circulation to his nuts. |
