question. how much rest/recovery is needed before working out the same muscle group again? i know your abdominals are some of the fastest healing muscles so you can work those out daily but how about tris, bis and chest?

I generally take a week between the same exercises. So bench press is 1ce a week. But, I combine chest and biceps, then back and triceps. So tri's and bi's are worked twice at least. Sometimes I do dips for triceps, which also works shoulders. But I also have a shoulders day. Generally, 1ce a week has been working for me quite well.

Today I'm going down to my basement and working on the upper body, Shoulders, chest, arms and forearms for now, take a rest and hit up the abs, the part I hate most. Btw Ygrene , you look like you're in great shape, especially for someone your age.

Finally got back to the gym today after my minor left forearm injury and syrupy Similac did it ever feel delish to be back! It was chest and back day too, which I love. My arm didn't feel too too shabby, though it'll be worse on my arms/legs day, which is tomorrow. I just know it. But I felt a bit stronger after that time off as Ygrene said, and I increased the weight on a couple of the machines.
