HIIT....all u do is jump on a treadmill, warm up, them run as fast as u can for about a minute (or as long as u can but under a minute or 2) then slow back down to a walk/speed walk for 2 minutes...repeat. Do this for a few cycles, depending on how in shape u are. That is the ultimate cardio and u get it done in 10 minutes. Running a marathon is NOT High Intensity cardio. |

I really don't think you should be doing high intensity unless you are already in decent shape.
In high school we used to do 50yards/50yards; sprint/float
You don't really need a treadmill either as you can also do 8sec/12sec out on the street if you want to.
About to go do that right now actually. Not super high intensity but going to do 3min/1min out on the street about 85%/65% sprint speed.

My gym doesn't have a track besides that way I can calculate distance and heart rate you dumb broad. |
