tubularbills, which army did you enroll in exactly? |
uhm, i'm not in the army, i'm in the Air Force :D
just got back from the gym - ran 2 miles. foot felt aight. i think it is just soreness; nothing more. just weird, is all.
i felt like such a doofass, i get on the *only* treadmill that's left in the gym and it says, "replace emergency stop button" and i'm like, ":wtf: does that mean?" so i go to the front desk, and the guy shows me this button that was sticking out on the machine that is attached to a wire that you're supposed to clip on to yourself....so if you start getting away from the machine, the button pops out and it stops. :wtf: WEIRD! never seen that before. anyway, it worked once he popped it back in place.
then i did the cap't chair stuff: 10 leg lifts to the front, to the right, to the front, to the left, to the front. then a set of 5 leg lifts, then 5 pullups, 5 legs, 4 pullups, 5 legs, 3 pullups, etc... all the way down to one.
few more side lifts w/ 35 lb'ers; and called it a day!
great workout if you want to get a little bit of strength in there; but keep the heart rate up. i was almost non-stop the entire time! |

thats actually not very tough.. i mean i haven't tried to hold one in that exact position for that long but notice how he has an alternate grip. IT makes all the difference. one hand is pushing out while the other one is pulling in (bottom to top respectively).
kudos to him for perfect balance and stability though |

You're a complete moron. One of the dumbest posts I have seen in relation to training. Working out for 9 years to boot, lol. Please do other people a favor and never give training advice. |
Coming from someone who doesn't even know the difference between your and you're... ok, champ! |

| I decided to change things up for today and attempted the tabata method with dumbbell thrusters at home. All I have to say is wow... I'm completely exhausted lol |

| woo. just finished a new york road runners race. i'm definitely nowhere near race shape yet, so i used it as another training run. finished the 4 miles (according to my watch) in 32:25. it's only my third run in the last like 2 months (and all in the last 8 days!) :wtf: |

Well done! That's definitely not too bad, especially when considering the lack of preparation.
Just returned from my weekly long run myself. A bit cold (-1 Celsius), but the route I picked turned out to be beautiful. On top of that, it all went pretty easily. From next week on, I'm going to add a mile or two. |
