Couple weeks back I pulled something behind my left knee, so I eased off hard leg stuff. Recently my lower back / obliques on the right side have gotten so tight it literally hurts to do side bends on one side. No I don't need to lower weight because I'm only using 35lbs and it has never been a problem. The last two days my right quad has been sore as hell. I think I hurt myself more than I initially thought with the left knee thing and compensated for it on my right side consequently I hurt...I've never been good at taking time off to let myself recover. |

If you're in pain then probably something is wrong and you might have to speak to a doctor. |

| Also hows your protein intake, any body working out or excerising should be taking in at least a gram per pound of body weight. Its how your muscles repair the microsopic tears you make from working out. |

| I'm probably not intaking enough protein, I don't drink protein shakes or eat much meat. Tuna over salads generally but lately I've started cooking steak but probably not enough protein. I'm a hot mess...seriously. Maybe I'll try protein shakes plus do yoga / pilates or walk the 60 or so blocks home from work until I feel better. Could be a good break for me... |

I'll drink 'em, but I like eating too. I'll hit Trader Joe's after work tomorrow... |

Speaking of protein shakes...
So you know I just started going to the gym after so many years away.
And I figured I'd try one of these shakes, since I hear they're good as a breakfast on the go too.
GAD was I wrong. IT WAS SO GROSS. Here's the can;
It tasted like waste water from a pulp and paper mill.
Do all protein shakes tast this wierd and gritty? |
