| i finally installed my pool liner the other day (btw dont ever install an inground pool liner) and i was wondering if anyone knew of any good cardio workouts for swimming? right now i swim to the opposite side, which i consider a lap, do that around 20 times, take a breather, and repeat until death. o ya, i should also say the pool's length is around 35-40 ft. it's a really nice change from running and i'm hoping this will help in shredding up my upper body |

ALTHOUGH...i'm wondering if it's just PMS. i have a feeling it is. sounds cliche', but unless you have a vagina, shut up:p i get really bad symptoms...major cramping (to the point of needing to practially OD on ibprofen and have a heating pad on me), fatigue, etc... i've been pretty much "blah" every night this week, so hopefully i'll shake that in another day or two.
|
, if I were in your place I'd probably wait and start next week when you are feeling better and can enjoy your workout. Its hard enough to get motivated to start a new workout routine much less do it when you feel like . |

I used to get severe back pains and cramping, but ever since I've been working out, it's MAJORLY decreased. |

if you workout consistently it'll lessen the pain also on those bad days pop some pills and work it out anyway. not as hard though like sit on the bike and read/watch tv. i figure if you are gonna watch tv or read something anyhow might as well exercise at the same time :)

chimera...agreed. i'm just trying to overall be healthy with what i eat. but yea, i suppose a little mayo here and there isn't going to kill me. trying to be healthier in general and tone my body for the most part...get my heart in shape w/ the cardio.
wish me luck!! |
i know where you are coming from having a healthy heart and being tone is goal of mine... |

Offer's still on the table if you wanna try my routine Jamie. It does exactly what you're looking to do and you don't have to drag yourself to the gym (yes yes, I know you like the gym :p ).
If you ever change your mind, I'll be happy to email it to you. :) |

i've had my fair share of feeling like someone just punched me in the ovaries but honestly if you workout more the pain will diminish substantially |

yea when i used to work out, all of my aches and pains (including PMS) where basically non-existant. i have a bad low back that gives me lots of daily pains and when i'm hitting the gym regularly, i dont get that.
jenny email it anyway please, my mom will be all over that. thanks. |

| I remember after the first month or so of working out...I didn't have any back pains like I usually did around that time...I almost forgot I was going to get my period, no joke, lol. |

| Jamie, why don't you try to incorporate Jennie's routine AT the gym? |

Well if we're both being honest, I didn't think you would go :D
As soon as you get that first session out of the way, then you'll have all the motivation you need.
I would dread going to the gym the first few times, but once I started seeing the results, I would enjoy it a lot more.
Jenny - Your workout is actually very good, better than I expected it to be. Although, i've combined it with another workout. I've been limping about with sore legs for a couple of days though.
NO PAIN NO GAIN :whip: |
