Really? Presentation is incredibly important to chefs, almost as important as taste. A lot of times, it makes or breaks a dish. Jenny is probably no chef, but she's a woman, so that makes it okay :p |

The ambience of the dining location is also very important, because eating at restaurants is about a lot more than just the taste of the food. Do you dim the lights and get some candles out for a quick post-workout snack? |

:stongue:
I wish I did, that would make my meal ever-so-tasty :p , the best presentation I can do after a workout is jam down a banana on my way to work or school. |

Lol, man you guys are really making a big ing deal out of it huh?
Why do you think it is so difficult or time-consuming to slice and arrange tomatoes in such a fashion on the plate? Preparing and presenting food is easy if you aren't some noob in the kitchen.
But yeah, I can totally see how it's stupid to want to enjoy every aspect of one's meal. |

It isn't difficult, but it wastes a few seconds every time you make that meal. And I'll bet good money this isn't the only meal you do it with, and that you're like this with lots of things around the house. I know other people pointlessly obsessed with tidiness and appearance, and they end up wasting hours of their week just tidying and ordering things for no reason.

I think it's pretty stupid to enjoy staring at the pattern of food on a plate in the first place. Do you eat the tomato slices sequentially, and get enjoyment out of that too? |

When they could be better spending their time on internet forums berating other people for doing the same? Give it a rest. I'm a tidy person, and I can't do anything else until things are clean. The phrase "pointlessly obsessed" is akin to accusing a gay person's sexuality of being "pointless" in the context of reproducing. It's not a choice in the first place. |

Ah yes, because you know people who are insane it MUST mean I am as well. Moron.
Do you have issues with your blood glucose or something? It sounds like maybe you need to eat. Squirrely bitch. |

Factor in taking a digital photo, uploading it, posting it and then defending yourself from sane humans and you could probably fit in a good fifteen minutes of extra beratin'.

I think that begs the question of where this behaviour comes from. |

| Who cares? Some people like their food to look appetizing. What does your food look like, crap? |

No, I think it begs the question: why do you give a ? And YOU don't have issues? Lol. |

That's an interesting statement for two reasons:
a) Us tidy people have a similar view of messy people. We have trouble understanding why you can't keep control of your surroundings, and see it as a problem. Of course, your answer is easy: "it's pointless."
b) I assume you're not familiar with Freud's theory of literal anal retentiveness? In light of that, I'd say his predictions match you as a messy person exactly.
Anyway, I should say that I don't give a what my food looks like, but I also don't care if anyone else wants to arrange theirs nicely, either. |

That isn't what "begging the question" means, you clown.
I give a because I've had to live and deal with people like you for years, and when you've been annoyed and nagged by someone's irritating and irrational behaviour for a little while you grow intolerant of it. |
