no you're just a dip and need to leave. the only thing insulting about your posts was that you claimed to have intelligence, after that I figured i could use the race card to get you banned.
and if by, "handling the situation on my own" you mean reducing you to ruuubble by utilizing insaaaane arrangements of words that would force you to leave you're absolutely right. No matter how smart I am I can never force an idiot to realize how stupid they are and leave on a forum.
As Einstein so aptly put it, "Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." |

So worked out at a YMCA today and I started wondering if the weights are REALLY what they say they are. Why is it that I can use heavier weight on new equipment and seem like a total weakling on older stuff? My conclusion is that newer machines do the same thing as women's clothing companies do with the whole fashion sizing (tag says 2 but you are really at 6 type of thing).
Anyhow since I'm far away from my gym and can only go to the Y a couple times I worked all major muscle groups and damn did it feel good :D. I didn't go to gym last week and I definitely felt sluggish by Saturday ...I'm a total junkie :( |

the numbers on the plates don't mean anything if you're using a machine that has pulleys. The more pulleys, the less work you're actually performing. At my gym I can do tricep pulldowns with 180lbs on one machine and have a very hard time doing 110 pounds on another.
I used to think i was an absolute beast until i looked up and realized the machine I was on had 2 pulleys and the old one had just 1 :( |

i was using the little fitness center at my apartment here for a bit and it didnt even have weight. It just had 1-15 on the plates. Makes it really weird hehe. At least you end up pushing yourself.
the other reason is that the plates are still the same weight, most likely, but the old stuff tends to have 1 pulley, the new stuff 4. Makes the work a lot easier. |

| They are tricky with those pulleys ;)...I remember a couple years ago I could do lat pulldowns at ~10lbs below my weight at the time then I went to another gym with different equipment and struggled with a weight ~50lb lighter than me. Oh well as long as I'm still getting a decent workout I have no complaints. |

Out of curiousity if there are any bodybuilders here.
Any of u used any anabolics? |

| oh indeed. i am a victim of the misconceived machine. there are 2 sets of pulley machines side by side, and one side has thick heavy duty rope for the pulley, and the other has 2 thin ropes. |

ew that's even worse that they are next to each other...must look odd doing cable crossovers because looks like one side of you is weaker/stronger than the other. |
