My weights aren't that heavy.

Haven't been in a week and a half... need to fix that.

I had last week off, and that's all it takes to make you feel pretty sore when you start again.

I always found it a bit strange that you don't feel sore when you're working out regularly. I'd have thought the constant exercise would make you feel worse.

I notice when I'm consistently going, I still do get slightly sore it's just not as noticeable and doesn't drag on for more than a day.

Same here. It's just a bit disappointing because I almost want to feel crippled. It doesn't feel like I've worked hard enough, regardless of how much I actually did the day before.

I have a new routine. Have decided to split my workout cause I have less time to spend in the gym now.

Upper body:
lat pulldown superset with bicep curls
seated row superset with military press
chest press superset with tricep dips or extensions
Alice raises (Youtube it if you don't know what that is)
planks

Lower body:
leg press or wieghted plie squats
box/bench step-ups superset with v sits
stability ball hamstring roll superset with planks

Hey,

Fairly new to the forum, and don't really know anything about working out, but I figured this is probably the place to ask:

What are some good work out routines that can be done at home without any gym equipment or weights? (I have 10lbs dumbbells, but that's it...I may go out and get something else, but I lack the motivation at the moment.)

I've been underweight or really skinny most of my life, so I haven't felt the need. However, long story short, I am now definitely overweight and incredibly out of shape. When I stepped on the scale, I was at a jaw-dropping 225lbs.

So, I've been cutting out a lot of junk food and doing my best to watch my calorie intake and exercise (push-ups/sit-ups, jumping jacks, and curling in my spare time...although I haven't done so in about a week!) and I've already lost 21.7lbs in the past month and a half, but lately my weight has not changed and I'm trying to reach my goals of 200, 175, and hopefully one day, 150.

Unlike the first few pages I read, I am not looking to bulk up or grow particularly strong, I just want to slim down and be in shape while I'm at it. I know that muscle weighs more than fat, so I'm not afraid of my weight itself if my body can reflect the reason behind it. I'm looking specifically for exercises that will work the pecs, to hopefully get rid of these man boobs lol.

If there's nothing really worth getting into, aside from what I've been doing, that's fine...I just want to know if there is any way to get the results I'm looking for any faster.

Any suggestions?

might do the trick at first. eventually when you've consistently dropped weight you will plateau and need to diet in a more strict fashion. then eventually you will more than likely plateau again and you'll have to keep adapting.

i weighed 185 at one point and lost ~40lbs since i started working out, but it wasn't until i really started to diet / follow a more strict routine that i began to really lose that weight.
