| I know that was a joke Lira but if you need to use eggs every day to make a meal, (not counting one or two for breakfast) then you're a and/or unimaginative cook :p |

It's not my fault, I'm a vegetarian! I can only eat tofu, eggs, and other vegetarians  :p
(in case you're wondering, I can go months without having a single egg... most of my protein intake comes from tofu, milk, and whey) |

Focusing on fats and the amount of cholesterol will get you nowhere fast. |
That's strange, I went vegan for 6 weeks (in addition to cutting salt, sugar and oils) and lost 25 pounds. |

| alright so i just talked to my orthopedic surgeon and told him i was going to start the insanity program and he looked at me blankly and called me an idiot. He then pulled out a trampoline and told me to stand on it on one foot (my bad leg) and i collapsed. sooo i guess that means i wont be trying it until i reach my full recovery. back to spinning classes and treadmills for me. haha |

Yeah duh. I bet cutting the sugar and salt was more of a factor in your weight loss than the fats. Your body needs fat for energy anyway, especially if you're doing moderate intensity like lifting. Plus your body makes more effective use of fat when you cut out sugar/simple carbs. |

I enjoyed the diet that I went through. The weight loss itself wasn't the only benefit, I was more regular, the foods I was eating wasn't making me bloated and my body felt great. I'm sure the sugar and salt helped a lot, but my diet included a lot of fiber and nutrient-heavy foods to keep my energy up, as well as having enough fat in my diet to keep me going through my workouts. Eating plant-based foods means you will be consuming healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats as opposed to saturated fats. It helped all aspects of my nutrition, not just the weight loss. |
